Difference Between Span and Div

<span> vs <div> Examples

Now, let's take a look at a few examples of span vs div that demonstrate their differences and applications.

Here's an instance of two <div> tags, followed by two <span> tags. I've applied a unique background color to each element to show their size — notice how

divs take the entire page width while
span tags only take up the space of their content.
Additionally, each div adds a line break after its content, but this isn't the case for span elements.

Fix Incorrect Keys Typing

Fix incorrect Keys typing É instead of ? or " instead of @ I have had this happen to me without explanation and before finding this simple solution I had to reboot the system to fix the annoying problem. At install time I chose English (Canada) as the language US keyborad. Selecting US at install time may have prevented this problem from showing up.
It seems the keyboard switches to Canadian Multiligual S tandard mode instead of US standard, without any explanation or known action on my part. I may actually be pressing CTRL+SHIFT accidentally, causing the situation to crop up.

How do I get rid of the é É?

Get Rid of É on Keyboard. Find yourself typing away and go to hit the Question Mark and have É instead? press

CTRL+SHIFT

(press CTRL first and while holding press SHIFT, sometimes you have to do it twice in a row to remedy the problem.)
As an aside some report that they have to press SHIFT first then CTRL to fix problem. Mar 30, 2011

Obviously other characters are also changed but I for one notice the problem with commonly used characters. Not all fonts display all charaters. If you look at the font table you will see some charcters do not appear with some fonts.
With this simple solution No More Reboots to remedy the problem. Source of Solution

Permanent Solution – On Windows 8.1 the solution seems different I did not pursue this solution.

Cooking up a Storm

Feeding Time is a very special time in our society. Not only must the hungry be fed quality food, the cooks must be treated well in order to produce the quality products demanded by our citizens. Food has always been more than just a source of sustenance, it is as much a social activity as a source of essential nurishment. Any group serving food must assure a source of quality food is available in quantities that meet the need of the entire group. The final product delivered will never be any better than the ingredients that go into the production of the meals being prepared. The staff must also have access to the same quality as those paying the institution for care.

NOTE that the images are defined first for both left and right then the text is added and the formating is as expected.

Seems perfectly logical to me

A wife asks her husband, "Could you please go shopping for me and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, get 6."

A short time later the husband comes back with 6 cartons of milk.
The wife asks him, "Why the hell did you buy 6 cartons of milk?" He replied, "They had eggs."

G reetings from your humble Web Master. It is indeed a pleasure to provide the Port Dover Lions Club with such an outstanding Web Site.
Any presence in cyberspace should not only be a source of information and facts but a source of pride to the Club, our community and all Lions around the world. The information is important of course but a Website must be a source of information useful to the entire community and an inviting atmosphere to all who view the site.
The atmosphere should be such that visitors consider your site a must visit repeatedly, as a source of invaluable information to them.

Note the difference in appearance of the image and how things appear now. Note also the the red maple leaves which are used as follow the cursor. Other pages like Christmas have falling snow, Thankgiving has falling leaves that no longer fall. It was fun to create and as noted before .... NOTHING stays the same but I would prefer if thing improved rather than the loss of function currently being experinced.

Doing Business in Detroit

The economy of Detroit plays a key role in the economic vitality of Michigan and the United States. Detroit is known as the automotive capital of the world, and it is estimated that the domestic auto industry directly and indirectly provides about 10 percent of the jobs in the country.

But Detroit is more than cars.

With the goal of diversification, Detroit has moved into emerging fields, such as life sciences, fuel cell technology, information technology and advanced manufacturing.

The Animals - House Of The Rising Sun  –  Lyrics

 In Flanders Fields

        (John McCrae 1915)

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
 In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
 In Flanders fields.

Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918)
         Canadian Army

The IBM 5100

The IBM 5100

The IBM 5100 is recognized as the first portable computer and was released in September 1975. The computer weighed 55 pounds and had a five inch CRT display, tape drive, 1.9MHz PALM processor, and 64KB of RAM. In the picture to the left, is an ad for the IBM 5100 taken from a November 1975 issue of Scientific America.

As an IBM employee at the time I recall the excitement the morning our marketing department held a big announcement meeting with the 5100 being present. No one actually knew how to, or what exactly to use the product for, but that soon changed.

IBM joined the Personal Home computer race by announcing the IBM Personal Computer on August 12, 1981, which runs the new MS-DOS operating system and has a starting price of $1,565. With the introduction of the first IBM PC the world of home computing changed forever. Although IBM was not the first to bring a product to the home market, it became the defacto industry standard of home computing due to the robust bus structure and operating system. Applications such as, word processors, spreadsheets and graphics were soon developed along with some rudimentary games. As they say the rest is history. Today few homes are without a home computer and many homes have several.

Antonin Scalia A ntonin Gregory Scalia was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1986 until his death in 2016.
This death could not have happened at a worse time, in the middle of the Presidential election.
As a controversial justice he was consistently against human rights, civil rights, gender equality and always supported big business against individual or citizen's best interests. With such a draconian record he became the hero of Republicans with a log history of opression and favouring big business. As far as I am concerned they could not bury him soon enough or deep enough in order for justice to once again flourish in the US.
Scalia was rightly considered a right wing conservative justice. While justice is supposed to be blind, it has become very political. Most legal scholars consider the constitution to be a living document to evolve and reflect modern day realities as opposed to the interpretation by any justice or individual of what was intended by the authors centuries ago.

The haunting sound of violins played as only a Gypsy can have brought tears to the eyes of many. The music usually revolves around love, family and of course the deepest affection for one's homeland. Since much of Europe has seen extensive turmoil resulting in the exile of many an idealistic patriot. The industrial revolution too forced many from small towns into unfamiliar urban environments away from the comforts of the familiar home, friends and family resulting in loneliness, isolation, despair and constant longing for the love, warmth and familiar. Gypsies capture in their music and melodies the love for their mother, father, first love and of course their roots. Folk music of many nations cover the wrenching yearning for that which should, but never will be. Gypsies have a knack for playing to the emotions and most basic needs and instincts of humanity. The lyrics are often haunting about unrequited love, but can be as gay as gay can be, to celebrate wonderful events and miracles of every day life experiences; birth, death, marriage and family relations we feel so deeply, but so seldom discuss with our loved ones. The extensive use of symbols rather than direct expression lends itself to interpretation by the listener. The sampling of Gypsy music will only be truly appreciated by those who understand the expressive words and manipulation of the heartstrings but the music can stand alone and is second to none.

Using TryEaster1_UNUSED.js Used to be TryEaster1 .js Produces correct results but prints too much information. DO NOT USE THIS SCRIPT! I just want Month Day Year as (MM/DD/YYYY)

What Easter.js provides is EXACTLY what I want (MM/DD/YYYY).

Using EasterV.js They are essentially the same

Using Easter2.js This essentially produces the same results but uses a very different algorithm

I will try to use the same declaration with tables I defined before i.e. USTable
Works well here but can't combine with exsiting declarations. Requires a new css file that respects the limitations of the screen size and the amount of data to be displayed.
NOT Creating .css It may never be used. This was just an exercise to demonstarte that side by side tables can be done.
